Our Favorite Destinations

As travel agents we’ve traveled a lot. But there’s always one destination that caught our attention the first time in a special way. These are ours:

Sorrento, Italy

Sorrento

Situated on the Amalfi coast between picturesque Positano and Naples Sorrento is a small quintessential Southern Italian town. With the backdrop of lush hillsides filled with orange, lemon, and olive trees it’s pretty hard to miss the laid back vibe that Sorrento gives. Like the rest of the south buildings are bright and colorful and, for tourists, the town is known for its limoncello, inlaid wood, and colorful ceramics. — Logan Marshall

South Africa

Giraffes

This country has so many intriguing things to offer, from beautiful breathtaking scenery to the incredibly friendly people. Each region of South Africa has something different to offer. For me, however, the sunrise ride in an open air jeep through Kruger National Park made South Africa the unforgettable destination where I could see a pair of lions, a giraffe casually eating from a tree, elephants knocking trees down with their trunks, and herds of zebras along the side of the road—certainly not the kind of thing that can be experienced in a zoo.

The Garden Route, which meanders along the coast of South Africa, is so lush and green and then you see the coastline of the ocean as you drive along. Of course, when in Capetown, a visit to Table Mountain is something not to be missed. The view from the top is a wondrous sight and you feel like you are standing on top of the world. A trip to South Africa should be on everyone’s bucket list. — Monica Marshall

Disneyland, California

Sleeping Beauty’s Castle

My all time favorite destination is Disneyland. I go every chance that I get. I don’t think that you are ever too old for Disneyland. It truly is the “happiest place on earth” It doesn’t matter what is going on in my life, when I am at Disneyland nothing matters. My favorite ride is the Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Those two are a must hit for anyone going to Disneyland. Also be sure to get your picture taken with Mickey while you are there. Every time that I go to Disneyland I love to run down Main Street and act like a kid again. I remember when I was younger and saw my mom running down Main Street and I said I would never do that, but I do now, and every time I do, I laugh at the younger me who had no idea what she was missing. So, next time you are at Disneyland, run down Main Street towards Cinderella’s Castle and welcome the magic of Disney around you with open arms. — Stefanie Patterson

New York, NY

New York City is one of my favorite destinations. I love the energy, electricity, and excitement that is never ending in Manhattan. Broadway shows are especially gratifying, but so are the events at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, and Madison Square Garden. So many choices, so little time. That accounts to some extent of why I return there so often.

But it is not only the arts that are so intriguing, it is the fashion scene, the art and museum scene and most important to me, the friendship scene. Each neighborhood in Manhattan has its own peculiar feel and interest – like a small town intimacy patched together in a huge metropolis. I especially like getting to know people who have lived in Manhattan for years – like the musician living in a beautifully restored Brownstone in Harlem, or a well know artist living in a warehouse loft in SoHo, or a local girl that has done well on Broadway and lives in a stunning co-op just off 5th Avenue. There is always something new and exciting to discover in the world city. I love it. — Bob Guy mon
